google | veteran-led business icon

Google was looking for an iconographic way to identify and represent veteran-led businesses. This was part of the company’s broader effort to use technology and help veterans by identifying local businesses on Google Search and Maps. If your business is owned, led, or founded by a veteran, you can enable this “Veteran-Led” attribute through Google My Business. It will appear on your Google business listing.

We explored how best to represent that new iconography, landing on the final icon; a letter “V” filled with the US flag, making it both easily identifiable and service agnostic.
