youtube ads | site redesign & localization

Working with both brand and marketing teams, we worked to implement the updating YouTube brand and brand standards into our redesign of the YouTube Ads website. In addition to working with the development team, to ensure proper implementation and functionality of our proposed layout, we also localized the site into 27 languages and even more markets, customizing content where necessary. All the planning led to a successful launch, hitting all milestones for this large scale web development project.

We considered the end market user in our localization efforts and served up customized content appropriate to each audience.

Shown below are English, Arabic and Japanese markets home pages for comparison. For the Arabic market, we swapped out featured content highlighting extreme skiing for sand surfing. As tattoos were sensitive in the Japanese market at the time, we removed the models' tattoos for that market, as seen in layout.
